FREE DOWNLOAD: Feed Me BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix

Feed Me
Alright, I dropped the ball on this one. This Essential Mix was sent to me by a friend a few weeks ago, but in my ignorance, I put off listening to it until now. I've always enjoyed Feed Me's stuff, but I was never really blown away by anything. This 2-hr mix that aired on Pete Tong's infamous Radio 1 program completely changed that; a majority of the mix consists of Feed Me's lesser known tracks and I had trouble finding one that I didn't enjoy immensely. While his widely known dubstep tracks "Cloudburn" and "Pink Lady" (to name just a few) are wonderful, that is but a tasting of what he has to offer; check out "Little Cat Steps" for some electro, "Chain Smoker" for some deadmau5-style prog house, or "Rat Trap" for some great trap. Needless to say, I grabbed all three plus some and will be following Feed Me a little closer from now on. Grab a copy below and follow along with the provided tracklist.

Tracklist:

FREE DOWNLOAD: Puma Scorz - Keygen

I  recently came across a Brazilian producer who has yet to upset me with the quality of his tracks! His name is Diego Fonseca, better known as Puma Scorz. His track, "Keygen", features an 8-bitty synth for the breakdown, while progressing into a pumping and satisfying drop. I suggest to have your eye out for this producer in the near future.

Miike Snow - Pretender (Deniz Koyu Remix)

There is just something about Miike Snow song that makes everyone want to do remixes of their songs. With that being said, Deniz Koyu managed to get his hands on “Pretender” and once again made a masterpiece out of an already amazing song. Other than the incredible vocals of Andrew Wyatt, Deniz Koyu extracts new themes and ideas from the original “Pretender” while adding his own electric feel in the form of chopped up vocals, a catchy melody in the chorus, and a bigger and slower house bass beat. This song is a must have for any EDM music lover as it captures every essence of what a feel good song should be. Don’t believe me? Take a listen for yourself.

Sebastian Ingrosso and Tommy Trash: Reload (Original Mix)

Reload
Possibly one of the biggest songs of the summer, Seb and Tommy have teamed up to bring us this HUGE progressive house beat that is sure to have you bobbing your head before the intro ends. This track weds the styles of its collaborators perfectly; the chord progression is reminiscent of Ingrosso's other monster song, Calling, and the dirty electro bass takes a page right out of Tommy's breakout hit, The End. Check Reload out below and grab a copy here at Beatport. Happy Friday!

St. Lucia - September (Alex Metric Remix)
More new music out from Alex Metric, this time it's a nu-disco remix of St. Lucia's "September". You won't be pumping any fists to this track, but the relaxed progression of the song and the 90s vibe it gives off are fun and incredibly addictive. Alex Metric can hardly be classified as conventional; all his tracks take a unique spin on electronic music and each showcase a different facet of Alex's production chops. Bro Safari and ETC!ETC!
I've got some nice morning moombahton for everyone to sink their teeth into today. This track comes from the likes of Bro Safari and ETC!ETC! and is called "Suspects". It seems these days that many of the moombahton producers are sidelining the genre in favorite of joining the trap resurrection, but it's nice to get a pure moombahton track every once in a while. Check it below and grab a copy.

P.S. If you enjoyed this track, check out "Da Worm" by Bro Safari as well, maybe even try Da Worm yourself.

Deadmau5's "> album title goes here <" full review, released today on Beatport, iTunes

Deadmau5
The Toronto electronic music prodigy known as Deadmau5 is at it again, and if it can be believed, this album is hands-down his best so far.

I had completely forgotten the album was set to release today, but luckily I awoke this morning to find my iPhone promptly reminding me to "wake up and buy deadmau5's new album!!!". Today was obligation-free so I grabbed a copy and my car keys and took a long and aimless drive down to the Jersey shore to run the album through its paces.

The album kicks immediately into the sinister track, "Superliminal", which paves the way for his hard-hitting electro collaboration with Wolfgang Gartner, "Channel 42". Next you'll find an 8-minute extended cut of "The Veldt", with vocals by Chris James. "The Veldt", for those who were unaware, is an ode to Ray Bradbury's 1950's short-story "The World the Children Made", which was one of the few things I enjoyed reading in AP Literature. The track itself has a euphoric melody and Chris James' vocals seal the deal on what might be the best track of the group.

Next, I was immersed in three dirty complextro tracks, "Fn Pig", "Professional Griefers", and "Maths". Of the three, "Professional Griefers" took the cake for me; the angst-y vocals by Gerard Way of My Chemical Romance give the track a interesting alt-rock sound that played well to my personal tastes.

Back up the rollercoaster ride that was this album, "There Might be Coffee" initially gave me some "Strobe" vibes, but then picked up and carried me into "Take Care of the Proper Paperwork", an ominous track with a post-rock spin. Some more traditional Deadmau5 followed with "Closer" and "October", before you cruise to the end of the album with mellow electronica tracks "Sleepless" and "Telemiscommunications" sandwiched around a hip-hop collab with Cypress Hill called "Failbait".

There is a lot to love about "> album title goes here <"; while you will find many of Joel's signature sounds littered throughout the album, he also has a handful of tracks that push the boundaries of electronic music in ways that are refreshing and fun. While I love the "instant" access to their music that many producers offer us through releasing EPs, an album allows the producer to create an adventure for the listener that just can't be replicated through a 4-track EP. Go grab a copy on Beatport or iTunes today and enjoy the ride!

FREE DOWNLOAD: D!RTY AUD!O - STR8 RIDER

D!RTY AUD!O - STR8 RIDER
D!RTY AUD!O is at it again, this time with a dirty new moombahton track called "STR8 RIDER". The LA native has been doing big things in the moombahton/trap/electro scene and this track is yet another in his growing arsenal of great dance tracks.

I've been following moombahton since a friend introduced it to me a year ago and I have been absolutely hooked. You can trace the roots of moombahton back a long ways, but most people credit Dave Nada with its conception. A great interview with Nada about it can be found here . At its core, moombahton is a blend of Dutch house and reggaeton, usually at a BPM of 108-115 or so. It's incredibly varied, with tracks resembling dubstep or 80's disco or even hyped up nu-jump.

If you're hooked after this track, check out more from the likes of D!RTY AUD!O, Dillon Francis, Nick Thayer, and Nada himself (aka Nadastrom).

Nero - Won't You (Be There) - FREE DOWNLOAD

EDIT: Jack Tirone already posted about this, but I would like to share what I had to say.

It's been a long time for Nero since their "Welcome Reality" release. Busy with tour after tour, they have finally settled down for plans on releasing a deluxe edition for the "Welcome Reality" album, featuring newer tracks like "Etude" and their comeback track, "Won't You (Be There)".

According to an article written by David Marchese from SPIN, Nero seems to be taking a bit of influence from Skrillex's "American sound", which you can hear at the pounding drop of this track. I'd say to watch out for what Nero has in store for us in the near future.

Click the "Download" button on the widget for a free download!

FREE DOWNLOAD: Nero - Won't You (Be There)

Nero - Won't You (Be There)
Nero is at it again with this HUGE new dubstep track, "Won't You (Be There)". This track is the complete package, with an epic anthem-esque buildup and a drop that will give you goosebumps. This will definitely be a go-to track at many shows in the coming future.

Dillon Francis - Masta Blasta (The Rebirth) Official Music Video

Whilst the original moombahton classic "Masta Blasta" is now over a year old, this trap-styled version shows a completely different Dillon Francis to the one who you and I are usually accustomed with.
Moving out of his usual Moombahton/Dubstep influenced tracks, Francis is now venturing into the scene of Trap, a relatively new genre which looks to have a bright future ahead of it.
I've been listening to a lot of Trap recently and have to say it's really grown on me!

I think the song itself is brilliant, putting an entirely new spin on the original, yet thankfully still keeping the classic melody.
Accompanied by an "interesting" video, I'm sure you'll enjoy this from the ever-growing Francis.

If you do enjoy it, the track is available on iTunes here, or Beatport here

Cazzette, Bronze Whale, and SHM, OH MY!

It's been a very productive day in the world of electronic music, and I've got you a couple of real sweet free downloads and one set of worldwide tour dates, so lets go!

First off, fresh off the heels of announcing their separation, the Swedish House Mafia have released their "One Last Tour" dates on their site www.onelasttour.com . This multi-national tour promises to be epic, so be sure to get your browsers primed and credit cards ready for this Friday (September 28th) at noon (all time zones) when the tickets go on sale.  If your city got the shaft, don't fret, there are still more dates in works, including the final show.

Second, I've got another remix from Cazzette, this time of Rihanna's "Where Have You Been".  We haven't heard from Cazzette much in recent months, and many people have been discouraged by the delay of their huge original track "Beam Me Up", but this new remix should help satisfy your cravings until their debut album comes out. Check the track out below then follow the link http://bit.ly/CazzetteWhereHaveYouBeen for a free download.

Finally, I've got an awesome Bronze Whale remix of Adventure Club's moombahcore track "Retro City". I hadn't heard of Bronze Whale until Adventure Club tweeted a link to their remix, but because "Retro City" is one of my favorite tracks right now, I was obliged to check it out and wasn't disappointed. It's got a real nice ambient dubstep feel, which I've been enjoying a lot recently. Check it out below and grab a free download as well.

Mord Fustang - Champloo (PREVIEW)

Many of you guys remember Mord Fustang, right? The man behind unique, poppy supersaw sounds. He is best known for his electro tracks, but would you believe me if I said he is diving into the world of glitch hop?

It's true! Mord Fustang's newest track, "Champloo", is one you surely must hear. To me, this track sounds like this would be some sort of an offspring of Koan Sound and Culprate, with some inspiration from Mord's own supersaws. What do you guys think? Do you enjoy his new experimentation with glitch hop, or do you think he should go back to his old electro-house self?

Check out the preview below! I will post the link when available for purchase.

Chill out with some acoustic covers of top electronic songs

Are you still paying for your Saturday night antics?  Sit back and check out these amazing acoustic covers of some of the top electronic songs out today.  My personal favorite thus far is "Levels", whats yours?

Acoustic Covers of Electronic Bangers from BassFrogTCU on 8tracks Radio.

Walden - Warmonger (Original Mix)

Walden - Warmonger
I was recently introduced to Walden through his original EP "Brightness" in a Dillon Francis set, and was instantly hooked.  To quote the Australian native's Soundcloud bio, his music can be described best as "a dash of Avicii, a pinch of Deadmau5, and a heavy helping of Wolfgang Gartner".  If that doesn't sound like the "perfect storm" of prog house I don't know what does.  Take a listen to his new track "Warmonger" below and see for yourself.

Michael Woods ft. Ester Dean - We've Only Just Begun

Here's the official video from Michael Woods' new single "We've Only Just Begun" featuring the stunning voice of Ester Dean.

Many of you may recognize the instrumental as Woods' classic hit "No Access".
Personally, I much prefer this latest version with the vocals, however I still can't get enough of the melodic drop!

The GB Olympic Gymnastics Team feature in the video, which I think was a great idea, especially since the successful Olympics held in London recently.

This is set to be released on the 28th October on Ministry of Sound Recordings.

Blake McGrath - Motion Picture (Pegboard Nerds Remix)

Pegboard Nerds are the next upcoming producers that everyone is starting to talk about. Releasing songs under Monstercat, such as "Disconnected" and "Rocktronik", they have shown how they can vary in sub-genres of EDM, while still producing massive tracks!

Their most recent remix comes from a song by sophomore RnB artist, Blake McGrath. It features a steady progression towards a pumping electro drop, which then turns into a climatic dubstep part in the middle of the track, and rinses and repeats.

Want to know the best part of this song? It's available for free download here! Check out their other insane tracks here!

Free Download: Alex Clare - Too Close (Cazzette "Amphitheatre's Surrounding Her" Mix)

To satisfy their fans hungry for some fresh music, the Swedish duo Cazzette has remixed Alex Clare's "Too Close", a rock-dubstep hybrid that has had fans from both camps craving more.  True to their style, this remix has a nice electro/dubstep flavoring and is sure to be a crowd-pleaser at any show.  Check out the first link for a preview and the second for a free download.

Bingo Players - Out Of My Mind

Here's an unreleased track from the one and only Bingo Players.
According to their Facebook page they're just putting the finishing touches on and it will be released soon, but I couldn't resist posting this early version!

Continuing with their never-ending spree of great songs, this looks set to be their next big one.
The Dutch duo are going from strength to strength, and with this track set to be released in the near future, I can only see them getting bigger and better.

I'm eagerly anticipating this release, and you can be sure to find it here on DailyEDM when that day eventually comes.

Bibz - You Can't Keep Talking (feat. John Record & Tammy)

I'm in the mood for some indie dance! This funky tune comes from French producer Bibz, who has recently gained much popularity from the YouTube channel "FunkyyPanda", with an EP release on Beatport under Stardust Records, "Level One EP". The track itself is most noted for its use of soft male and female vocals with a tad of auto-tune, "summer" chords that get you swinging your hips, and is best for giving a great vibe while listening. Show your support by getting the EP here!

Project 46 - You & I feat. Donna Lewis

When listening to this progressive house track, I can't seem to pick what I like best. Whether it be the soothing vocals from Donna Lewis, or the intriguing chord progression done by the masterminds behind Project 46, this track is one to listen to on repeat. As always, if you like the track, please show your support by buying it here!

deadmau5 ft. Gerard Way - Professional Griefers (Official Video)

New video from deadmau5' forthcoming album, "> album title goes here <".

This latest track has only excited me more for the release of his future album!
Never failing to deliver, his last album "4x4=12", was absolutely superb and even almost two years on from it's release I'm still constantly playing it. With this in mind, I'm eagerly anticipating the release of his next one set to be release on the 24th September.

The track itself is brilliant and shows deadmau5 is still one of the biggest EDM artists in the world. This track really shows off his unique style.
However, it's the video which really amazed me. His last video "Ghosts n' Stuff" reached #12 in the UK singles chart, and I'm sure this latest video has the potential to replicate this success.

The album can be pre-ordered from iTunes here, and if pre-ordered "Professional Griefers" will be available instantly.

Foreign Beggars - Apex & Dirtyphonics Remix

Here is yet another club banger out by the Foreign Beggars, who worked with the post-Pendulum duo, Knife Party. This track is definitely one that gets the crowd jumping. Out now on mau5trap records, the single pack features the original mix, alongside a head-bobbing dubstep remix by the one and only Dirtyphonics. Show your support by buying it here.

Austin Leeds feat. Jason Caesar - Close Your Eyes (Laidback Luke Remix)

A fantastic new remix from Laidback Luke!
Released by the ever-growing Mixmash Records, I'm sure this track will tear up dancefloors and clubs globally with it's big-room vibes.
Here's a small snippet of the track, featuring an introduction from Laidback Luke himself!

Breakbot - By Your Side

Breakbot just released his new album,By Your Side.
I'm not a big fan of his music but i must admit it's amazing if you want to chill out.

Tiesto & Steve Aoki - Tornado (Official Video)

As if these two need introduction, Tiesto and Steve Aoki released their trippy music video for the hit "Tornado" yesterday and take us through wire-frame video game scenes that seem to mimic parts of the old school Star Wars games. Check it out!

Rednek - Wake Up (and others you should hear)

What to write about this dubstep producer from London, UK? With over 19 years of music production under his belt and successful tours with the likes of Nero, Mord Fustang, and Tommy Lee, Rednek has certainly found his place in the world of dubstep. With enormous success of his first video "How to Become a Dubstep Artist in One Month," he released his second official video "They Call Me (Rednek)," and received 200,000+ views in the first week! His remix of Skrillex's "Make It Bun Dem" is definitely a must-hear (included below). For a free download of "Wake Up," visit his SoundCloud page! Be sure to check out all his sounds on SoundCloud, follow him on Twitter, and like him on Facebook!
