Madeon - The City (The M Machine Remix)

It’s been a couple of months since Madeon unleashed “The City” onto the world and now American group, The M Machine is adding their own style. The vocals remain the same besides a glitched segment creating a very different feel from the original. By removing the pop sound and adding a lot more progressive elements, The M Machine has managed to keep “The City” fresh and current.  You can grab The M Machine’s remix now on Beatport from Popcultur.

Madeon, it is safe to say, has been killing it in the EDM scene for quite some time now. Yea, he's that 18 year old French dude who made that awesome "Pop Culture" video on YouTube, which currently has 14+ million views. He's back again, this time with a couple of his new(ish) tracks, "The City" and "Icarus", along with a couple of drum and bass remixes from the likes of Netsky and Fred V. & Graffix. In typical Madeon style, "The City" and "Icarus" both use those infectious pop synths that just ooze happiness, and the DnB remixes are no different; both largely keep the tracks intact, but with the intricate drum work create an entirely new feel to these songs. Madeon - The City [Now Available]

Madeon decides to drop his new single “The City” that he has been teasing with a release in the US for that past few days. It was premiered this past weekend by Annie Mac on BBC Radio One after an official preview a few days before. He is fresh on the heels of his 18th birthday and his massively successful single “Finale” that may be his best effort to date. “The City” brings us back to his french disco roots, where “Finale” had a bit of an edgeier sound with some elements of DNB. Zak Waters provides vocals on the song that Madeon has said is the favorite track he has done, which says something considering the quality in his discography with “Icarus” “Finale” and the plethora of quality remixes. While I do not think this is as good as “Icarus” or “Finale”, “The City” is still a very good track and we can only expect more great things from this young prodigy. Madeon is about to drop his new single, ‘The City’, on us. The new track has none other than Zak Waters on vocals. This is a pair pretty much made in musical heaven.
