The Veldt, the
first in an upcoming series of EPs from the Canadian DJ/producer. Lead
single "The Veldt," inspired by the recently deceased sci-fi author Ray
Bradbury, is an epic eight-minute journey that partners Deadmau5's
ecstatic production with Chris James' smooth, throaty vocals. On
"Failbait," Deadmau5 teams with blunt-friendly rap veterans Cypress Hill
for a banging track that steps away from EDM and firmly thumps into
hip-hop territory.
